Regarding the new National Safeguarding Training Standards being introduced by the Welsh Government, new requirements for “Group B” practitioners are coming into place. These standards apply to anyone who works directly with people in group or one-on-one settings and holds a greater responsibility for safeguarding. We anticipate that holding a Group B safeguarding certificate could become a compulsory requirement at any time to work in many education settings across Wales.
