The Role

As a Supply Classroom Assistant, you will:

  • Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and classroom activities.
  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation.
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources.
  • Adapt to different school settings and provide support where needed.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a school, childcare, or similar setting.
  • A positive, patient, and flexible approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced Classroom Assistants, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Nursery Practitioners, Youth Workers, Care Workers, and those with transferable experience working with children or young people.
