About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will step into classrooms to supervise and manage students in the absence of their usual teacher. This dynamic and rewarding role is ideal for recent graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals looking for flexible work in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a classroom environment, ensuring students stay on task with pre-set work.
- Deliver lessons provided by teaching staff across a range of subjects.
- Maintain a positive and orderly learning environment.
- Follow and enforce the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
What We’re Looking For:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence in managing groups of students in a classroom setting.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in different schools.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- A valid DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
