Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Join Excell Supply
Start Date: ASAP | Contract: Flexible supply work | Pay: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)

Excell Supply is looking for confident, capable Higher Level Teaching Assistants to support our fantastic network of primary schools. If you’re someone who can step in, keep learning on track, and bring calm to a classroom when the teacher is away, we’d love to hear from you.
Whether you’re delivering a planned lesson, supporting small groups, or helping pupils find their “lightbulb moment”, you’ll play an important role in keeping classrooms positive, focused, and productive.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering planned lessons when the teacher is unavailable
- Leading small-group interventions and catch-up sessions
- Supporting pupils with behaviour, engagement, and learning
- Helping with lesson preparation and providing feedback
- Occasionally guiding other support staff and keeping things running smoothly
What we’re looking for
- HLTA qualification
- Classroom experience, ideally including leading groups or whole classes
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- A proactive, flexible approach and strong communication skills
- Someone who can think on their feet — because classrooms rarely stick to the script
