What Does a Modern Foreign Languages Teacher Do?
As an MFL teacher, you’ll guide students in learning new languages, helping them develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. Whether it’s French, Spanish, German, or any other language, you’ll immerse students in the beauty of language and culture. Your role will go beyond grammar and vocabulary – you’ll create real-world connections to help students communicate confidently in a global society, encouraging them to embrace new cultures and perspectives.

What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
✔️ A current DBS check (or willingness to get one – we’ll help guide you through the process!).
✔️ Strong classroom management skills – creating a positive and engaging environment where students feel confident to practice a new language.
✔️ A passion for languages and the ability to make learning an exciting, immersive experience for KS3 and KS4 students.
✔️ An understanding of how to promote cultural awareness alongside language learning, ensuring students appreciate the wider world.
✔️ A commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment where every student feels comfortable to engage in language practice.
✔️ Understanding of safeguarding practices and ensuring the well-being of all students.
