We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Religious Education (RE) Teacher to join our team and make a difference in the lives of students in the Welshpool area.
The Role
As a Religious Education Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in exploring diverse faiths, moral philosophies, and ethical issues, promoting critical thinking and cultural understanding. Whether you are looking for short-term supply opportunities, a longer-term placement, or a permanent role, we have opportunities to suit your preferences.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons to students aged 11–16 (KS3 and KS4).
• Foster an inclusive and respectful classroom environment where all students feel valued.
• Encourage critical thinking and open dialogue about a variety of religious, spiritual, and moral topics.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records in line with school policies.
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the wider school community and ethos.
Requirements
Essential:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Proven experience teaching Religious Education at secondary level.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A passion for teaching and inspiring young minds.
Desirable:
• Knowledge of the Welsh curriculum or a willingness to familiarize yourself with it.
• Experience in delivering lessons through both English and Welsh (not essential but advantageous).
