We are seeking a compassionate and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and dynamic school in Flint. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in helping children overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs, both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Help create a safe and nurturing learning environment.
- Monitor and record student progress, sharing updates with teachers and parents.
- Support students with additional needs, including emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, ideally those with SEN, in an educational or care setting.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) are highly desirable but not essential.
- A valid DBS certificate on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
