The Role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Science or Maths to join a committed team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the education and development of children with SEND. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that inspire and challenge our students while meeting their individual learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering high-quality Science or Maths lessons tailored to students with SEND.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities.
• Developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implementing targeted interventions.
• Creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages confidence and achievement.
• Supporting students with communication, sensory, and emotional regulation needs.
• Working closely with teaching assistants and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative educational environment.
• Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching Science or Maths, preferably within a SEND setting.
• A strong understanding of different SEND needs and the ability to adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to education.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
