Job Title: Supply Teaching Assistant
Location: Mold, North Wales
Salary: £11.44 – £12.82 per hour
Contract Type: Supply (Full-time/Part-time depending on availability)

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team in Mold. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will be working in a variety of primary school settings, providing valuable support to both teachers and students across different subjects and age groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the classroom teacher with the planning and delivery of lessons
  • Provide one-on-one support to students, especially those with additional learning needs (ALN)
  • Support students with tasks and activities in the classroom
  • Help with the preparation and organization of learning materials
  • Supervise students during break times and other non-teaching periods
  • Assist with managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive, safe learning environment
  • Communicate with teachers and other school staff regarding student progress and needs
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality

Essential Requirements:

  • A keen interest in supporting children’s education and development
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude towards supporting students
  • Ability to work flexibly across different schools and year groups
  • Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
  • DBS check (we can assist with this if necessary)

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
  • Knowledge or experience of working with students with ALN or additional support needs
