Are you a Welsh-speaking Classroom Assistant looking for flexible work in Denbighshire?

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Welsh-speaking Classroom Assistants to work on a supply basis across schools in Denbighshire and the surrounding areas.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and wants to make a positive difference to their learning and development within a Welsh-medium or bilingual school environment.

The Role

As a Classroom Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to support pupils with their learning and help create a positive, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

You may be supporting individuals, small groups or the wider class, depending on the needs of the school.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the class teacher with day-to-day classroom activities
• Helping pupils engage with their learning and access the curriculum
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required
• Communicating with pupils in Welsh and English
• Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence and participation
• Supporting classroom activities and preparing learning resources
• Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Working effectively as part of the wider school team

We’re Looking For

• Welsh-speaking ability – essential
• A genuine passion for working with children
• A patient, caring and enthusiastic approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
• Previous experience working with children or within a school setting is desirable
• A willingness to be flexible and adaptable
