Join Our Team as a Welsh Speaking Supply Teaching Assistant

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting children in their education? We are looking for enthusiastic, caring, and dedicated Welsh Speaking Teaching Assistants to join our supply team, working across primary and secondary schools throughout Anglesey.

This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly while making a real difference in Welsh-medium and bilingual schools, supporting pupils in a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Role

As a Welsh Speaking Supply Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons in Welsh and English where required.
• Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to support learning and development.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Encourage pupils’ confidence, independence, and participation.
• Assist with classroom preparation and learning activities.
• Adapt quickly to different school settings and provide high-quality classroom support.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• The ability to communicate confidently and fluently in Welsh and English.
• Experience working with children or young people in a school, childcare, or similar setting.
• A positive, patient, and flexible approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential. We welcome applications from experienced Teaching Assistants, Classroom Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Nursery Practitioners, Youth Workers, Care Workers, and individuals with transferable experience working with children or young people.
