Lyndsay Legs it Around Conwy for NCAR

Huge congratulations to company director Lyndsay Andrews who is recovering today after completing her first half-marathon!  Running in the Conwy half marathon yesterday in aid of North Clwyd Animal Rescue, Lyndsay took on the gruelling 13+ mile to raise money for abandoned and vulnerable animals being cared for by the charity.  Prior to the run Lyndsay said:

“As a huge lover of dogs, all breeds, shapes and sizes, I started volunteering at NCAR in January of this year as a dog walker. Being involved with this charity over the past year has enabled me to see the wonderful work that they do and I therefore wish to help further by running this half marathon. I am a novice runner. I regular run 5K and the occasional 10K so when asked if I’d be interested in running the Conwy half marathon, I knew it was going to be a huge commitment and challenge. If I can raise funds for my favourite charity too, brilliant!”

A wet and cold day did little to dampen spirits and Lyndsay powered through to complete the course in a little over 2 hours – an amazing achievement for a first time half-marathoner.  At the time of writing she has raised £445 and you can help take that total over the £500 mark by clicking here.
