We brought you details last week of the all-new Christ the Word school that opened in Rhyl this month. Today we are sharing details of the recently refurbished Community Primary School in Gwersyllt. Re-opening its doors after the summer holidays, Gwersyllt CP completed a full refurbishment and extension that joined up two previously separate buildings; the infant and junior sites.
The work was funded by a partnership between Wrexham Council and the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools fund, aiming to breath new life into the nation’s schools.
Cllr Phil Wynn said: “I’m very pleased that work at Gwersyllt CP has completed before the start of the new term, and would like to thank Read Construction for their efforts in ensuring that children returned to a new and improved site after the summer holidays.
“I’d also like to thank officers and all staff at the school for their work in co-ordinating the project and ensuring it was the success it was, and I’d also like to thank parents and pupils for their co-operation and support during the work.”
