All of our Temp of the Term winners for the Summer Term have now been announced! Account managers have been out in force over the last fortnight surprising their winners, with a total of four candidates picked out for their efforts before the summer holidays.
Wrexham Primary Winner – Connie
“Jenny surprised Connie earlier today as her choice for the termly prize and we couldn’t think of a better example of how doing a good job on supply can often lead you to a great job further down the line.
Connie has worked with Excell since January 2017 and gets excellent feedback, quite often being a first choice of teacher for many schools. After doing some long term supply at Victoria Primary school, she secured herself a part time contract at the school from September 2017. Well done Connie!”
Denbighshire/Conwy Primary Winner – Claire
“Claire was selected by Louise for her efforts during the Summer term, commenting that “Claire is reliable, hard working and professional. During day to day supply within our schools she has gained excellent feedback which has lead her to gain a long term at Ysgol Llywellyn”.
Claire originally registered with Excell a couple of years ago but, due to her popularity at a local school, was only able to start with us full-time in the Summer. She has certainly made up for lost time however and we couldn’t be happier to have her supporting our schools this year.

Flintshire Primary Winner – Claire
“Claire was Lyndsay’s choice in recognition of her amazing attitude and ability as a supply teacher. Lyndsay said;
“Claire was the perfect candidate last year and sets the standard for supply teachers. She was reliable, enthusiastic and always went the extra mile in schools. It was no surprise that she received great feedback from head teachers wherever she went, and even less of a surprise that she is now in a longterm role for Excell.”
Lyndsay surprised Claire with her award at Ysgol Derwen in this morning’s assembly, and a round of applause from the entire school just goes to show that we are not the only ones that appreciate your amazing effort!

Secondary Winner – Niha
“Niha has worked for Excell for 3 years, with her most recent spell starting in April last academic year following a break from the classroom to travel.
Niha had completed a long-term at the Elfed prior to travelling and on her return was immediately requested back to the school for a short term placement. This was followed by a few days of supply at Emrys towards the end of the year, where she impressed enough to be offered a long-term science cover to begin this month.
Kate said “Since returning to Excell Niha has been a friendly and consistent member of the team, making a good impression wherever she goes. She has always been in demand and it was an easy task for me and Lee to help her secure long-term work again. Niha goes above and beyond in every booking and we are pleased this effort has earned her another long-term placement this year”.
