Temp of the Summer Term -Winners Announced!

Published on: Wednesday, 1st May 2024

We are delighted to announce the winners of our temp of the term award. We take great pride in rewarding our hard working, role model candidates and we have chosen from three categories- Primary, Secondary & Teaching Assistant.

Each winner received £50 of high street vouchers and a visit from their account manager to congratulate them. Thank you all for your dedication and keep up the hard work!

Secondary- Amanda Burslem

As her account manager, Lee chose Amanda for a number of reasons as he explains, “Amanda is an excellent teacher who is very likeable and always conducts herself in a professional manner. When I received a call from the Argoed School asking if they had any suitable Maths teachers for a long term post, I didn’t hesitate in putting Amanda forward. She is now booked into the school on a long term supply basis until Christmas”.

Amanda says “I have been so impressed with Excell Supply since registering last year for the amount of work I have received. I have always been kept busy! My current post at the Argoed has been very enjoyable and I am already looking forward to returning in September!”

Primary- Heather Clayton

Heather has recently completed her NQT induction year and addition received a brand new television!

Lyndsay explains her chosen winner, “Heather has worked for Excell for some time and has consistently worked in long term positions within schools which has enabled her to now complete her induction. Heather also recently joined us on our walk up Snowdon, showing her dedication and support to Excell. She is a fantastic ambassador for Excell even getting amazing feedback when she was asked to do a day’s supply in a school that was having an inspection, a stressful time for any teacher but she took it in her stride and managed to impress the inspectors. She thoroughly deserves the recognition for her hard work.”

Heather added, “Lyndsay and the team have been more than helpful in providing me with plenty of work so that I could complete my induction year, build my confidence and become the teacher that I am today. Lyndsay is always on hand whenever needed and always welcomes a friendly chat even if it’s not about work. My career would not be the same without Excell!”

Teaching Assistant- Amy Peters

Amy recently returned to Excell after working for us previously but left for a permanent job.

Adam has been placing Amy into work and says, “Since returning to us at such a busy time of year, Amy has been in constant work. Leaving a big impression at a number of schools whilst initially working day-to-day, it was inevitable that a long-term position would come her way and she has recently started a maternity cover at Tanyfron School in Wrexham.  Amy is incredibly willing, enthusiastic and never takes a day off.  It has been a pleasure welcoming her back to Excell!”
