KS2 Grammar Subject Knowledge for Teachers & Teaching Assistants

The Grammar & Punctuation training will focus on subject knowledge for teachers and TAs who are delivering KS2 English.  We will look to ensure that the more complex grammatical structures are understood as well as practical ways to teach them.

The Teaching Sequence training will focus on planning an effective unit of work including the importance of activating prior knowledge, teacher modelling, clarity of focus and success criteria, reducing cognitive load and using adaptive teaching strategies.  We will use an English example but this will be able to be applied to all subjects.
