Excell supply are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work with students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, Mental Health) in the key stage 2, 3 and 4 within a pupil referral unit. This role will be on a one-to-one basis, you will be supporting pupils, varying in both age and levels of ability, who require behavioural support in the classroom to promote their inclusion. Ideally you will have experience of dealing with high level disruption and other behavioural issues in a classroom or specialist setting.
You will need to be flexible in your approach to supporting children, able to read the situation of when to promote focus as well as being confident building effective relationships with pupils with behavioural needs. If you have undertaken Team Teach, MAPA or PRICE training, this would be an advantage but is not essential.
