SEN Teacher – Make Every Lesson Count with Excell Supply
Start: ASAP | Contract: Flexible supply (you control the diary) | Pay: £130 – £190 per day

A day in the life

  • Deliver differentiated, high-quality lessons that meet the varied needs of your students
  • Support pupils with EHCPs and additional needs in specialist or mainstream settings
  • Use a range of strategies and resources to promote engagement, communication, and progress
  • Work closely with support staff (TAs and therapists) to deliver consistent, holistic care
  • Prioritise wellbeing, behaviour support, and clear routines
  • Maintain records and work closely with SENCOs and wider teams to provide continuity

What you’ll bring

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – including Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
  • Experience teaching pupils with additional needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, SLD, etc.)
  • A calm, patient and creative teaching approach that adapts to every individual
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching techniques
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service – or willingness to apply
  • Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education
