We have an exciting role for someone who is passionate about sport and coaching children!!
WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A SPORTS COACH?
- Have excellent behaviour management skills
- Be fun and able to answer the question ‘why?’ 40 times a day!
- Lead a sports club (training will be provided)
- Ensuring all children are engaged, safe and having fun
- Planning sports sessions
- Assisting the class teacher
SPORTS COACH/TEACHING ASSISTANTS MUST HAVE:
- Essential- The ability to be flexible, show initiative, be reliable, creative, and enthusiastic.
- Essential- knowledge of a wide range of sports
- Essential- Right to work in the UK.
- Essential- DBS Check (can be gained via Excell Supply if necessary)
- Ideal but not essential- some relevant experience with children and young people
- Ideal but not essential- have a relevant qualification, or have completed a relevant course (in something related to either sports, or young people)
This is a unique role, as the successful candidates will be running a sports lunchtime and after school club, including during the school holidays, being a general teaching assistant in the classroom in-between clubs, starting from September until the end of the school year in 2024.
We have 2 roles available:
Monday-Friday- 12-4pm
Monday-Friday- 8:30-4:15pm
