We have had a wonderful day supporting the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund Wear Red Day. We were first made aware of the Children’s Heart Surgery Fund after attending a recent training event in Ewloe Green Primary school, where we were told of one pupil who is fundraising for the charity ahead of his own heart surgery. Children’s Heart Surgery Fund was created in 1988 by Duncan Walker. Since then, Children’s Heart Surgery Fund has awarded over £6 million in grants to the heart unit, its patients and their families. They are now leaders in the development of medical devices, including replacement heart valves. To find out more about the charity, click here.
We were compelled to do our bit to support this great cause and encouraged our staff to choose an item of red clothing to wear, sharing their photos and turning our Twitter feed red for the day! The office team also took part and emptied their pockets and purses to raise £65 to put towards Ewloe Green’s fundraising total.
Check out some of the contributions below, more as they come in!
